I’m Theresa and welcome to my newsletter!
Think of this more like a monthly friends letter from me to you. I want to share this journey of creating comics with you and feel that a monthly newsletter would be a great way to keep in touch!
If you subscribe, expect to receive a once-a-month letter talking about my comics progress, upcoming events, and other fun stories from my life that are worth sharing. There may be occasional announcements as well (book releases, etc) but they will be sparse.
Who am I?
I’m Theresa Chen Arzola, an indie graphic novelist & illustrator who likes fantasy, urban fantasy, slice-of-life, and non-fiction memoir. For the last… 10+? years… I’ve been working as a UX Designer in various tech companies on the USA West Coast. I recently left the corporate world to pursue creative endeavors (like comics!) and so far it’s been a wild, fun, but also challenging ride.
What am I working on?
I draw comics and currently a have a couple of active projects…
Adventures with Titan - a weekly webcomic about the antics of a chaos Pomeranian named Titan. Free to read, I consider this my weekly dose of serotonin I like to share.
Beyond the Road - an adult graphic novel memoir about rediscovering adventure through chronic illness through a 4-day campervan trip. Currently in progress and set to be complete by end of 2025.
Angel Chronicles - a YA graphic novel series about a fallen angel whose presence on earth starts awakening the dormant supernatural. It’s scripted and the 1st 3 chapters have been thumbnailed. I’m currently working on the drawing process so I can turn out pages in a consistent and sustainable manner.
